The city showed its Boston PRIDE for the LGBTQ+ community with multiple events throughout June. The Downtown Boston Business Improvement District and Men of Melanin Magic at Downtown Crossing hosted the “DTX Pride by DRAGTEASE” drag, dance, and music show on June 9, 2023. Boston Pride For The People then hosted the city’s first pride celebration in three years on June 10, 2023. Thousands of people showed up for festivities including a parade and two festivals — one family-friendly and one for ages 21 and over.
